The Emotional Cycle: From Body → Mind → Body

Uncategorized

Emotions are not something we should “think away.”
They are signals that move through the body, into awareness, and emotions must return to the body consciously.
If we don’t guide them back with awareness, they return on their own — often as tension, stress, or even illness.

WU — Tune in

Every emotion begins as a physical state: tension, shallow breath, a tight chest.
Before the mind names the feeling, the body has already spoken.

First, we pause and listen.

YU — Mind

When we recognize the physical reaction, we bring it into conscious space.
We label it gently: “This is fear.” “This is anger.”
Naming creates distance; awareness opens choice.

The moment we see the emotion, we stop being controlled by it.

DU — Path

Through breath, posture, movement, and intention, we send a new signal to the body:
You are safe. You can soften now.

The body responds with a different emotion — calmer, steadier, grounded.

The circle closes: body → mind → body.

Emotional regulation is not suppression. It is alignment.

We translate the body’s state into consciousness, and then consciousness guides the body toward ease.

This is the Wu–Yu–Du way:
Tune in. Mind. Path.
LET IT FLOW!
